The first building (above) is not actually part of Long Wall Street: it is the 96-feet wide side of the shop at 60 High Street.
It was built in its present form in the mid-1930s: prior to that there was another large building here, used in the 1880s as a printing works by W. R. Bowden, who had the corner shop facing the High.
