In Marston Meadows on the footpath near Rainbow Bridge.

The city crest on the flat top of the stone is missing, and the hole is filled with cement

 

Robert Buckell served his first term as Mayor of Oxford in 1886/7

 

It matches exactly the following three stones to the north of Oxford, which are also dated 1886:

Port Meadow, near Burgess Field

Port Meadow, near the carpark

Godstow
