It was unveiled on the 75th anniversary of D-Day on 6 June 2019.
The street was named Normandy Crescent on 17 December 1956. As well as remembering the landings it also comemorates the old Cowley airfiled from which troops of the Oxfordshire & Buckinghamshire Light Infantry took off in gliders for the assault.
