Shop changes in Cornmarket in 25 years

In 1976 Cornmarket had six shoe shops; in 2008 it has seven mobile phone shops.

The original intention was to show the changes over the 25 years from 1973 to 2008, but there have been so many more changes since then that a third column has been added on the right showing the occupants today.

The only businesses that have stayed the same from 1973 to 2018 were Boots the Chemist, W.H. Smith, Boswells, Austin Reed, and Barclays, Natwest, and HSBC (Midland) Banks. Since 2018 two of the latter have also closed (Austin Reed and the NatWest Bank).
